Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare for lubrication
- Check lubrication schedules at start of shift and plan daily work activities in line with organisational safety and standard operating procedures.
- Select appropriate personal protective and other equipment and check for operational effectiveness.
- Obtain type and quantity of lubricants from storage location to fulfil schedule.
- Make contact with equipment operator to obtain access.
- Lubricate equipment
- Complete lubrication tasks in line with schedules.
- Select and use appropriate types and quantities of lubricants for specific equipment and specific components.
- Top up supplies throughout daily activities.
- Identify any equipment issues during lubrication and advise operator and or maintenance personnel.
- Maintain stock in lubrication store
- Record and report on lubrication activities
